For many years CBI Madeiras has been investing in reforestation, production, treatment and commercialization of Eucalyptus wood for the most diverse purposes. In their farms, in the best reforestation regions of the country, all processes were verticalized, from planting to cultural tracts, from cutting and peeling to drying, from the industrial process to transportation to their customers. For this, it uses machines, equipment and its own fleet, thus being able to guarantee safety, quality and punctuality in all stages.

CBI Madeiras is the only wood treatment company in Brazil that has the quality seal "Qualitrat Pleno", a self-regulation program by the ABPM (Brazilian Association of Wood Preservers), which guarantees the quality and legality of treated wood to the consumer.

EUCALYPTUS

Eucalyptus is a renewable natural resource. After being treated, it becomes the modern, economical and correct solution to replace native wood with advantages, reducing pressure on our forests and natural reserves.

Among the more than 600 species of eucalyptus and several hybrids, CBI Madeiras always uses the most suitable varieties for multiple uses. Planted with specific objectives and special techniques, the best desired physical characteristics are achieved, such as straightness, low conicity, and mechanical characteristics such as strength and high density, similar to the noblest native woods.

The variety E. Cloeziana adapted better in our region of Chapada de Minas than in any other regions of the world and provides a straight, parallel wood with high mechanical resistance and a natural resistance to attack by fungi and insects.

TREATMENT

The Eucalyptus trees are selected for each application inside the forests, where they are slaughtered and cut in the desired dimensions, peeled, remaining in the controlled drying process. After drying they are selected and sent to the plant, where they are once again selected, and enter the treatment process.

The treatment consists of impregnating the wood with a solution of water-soluble salts (CCA) until its total saturation, making it immune to fungi, insects and other physical and biological agents. This impregnation is done through an autoclave that produces vacuum and pressure. Under vacuum, the air and some moisture still existing in its cells are removed from the wood, and after some time, still with negative pressure, the preservative solution that fills all the wood cells is injected. With the wood fully immersed in this solution, positive pressure is inserted until the cells are completely and deeply filled.

With this treatment, the treated wood has a slightly greenish color, its surface is free of residues with high resistance to leaching, non-toxic, odorless, and can be used in its natural state or with any type of subsequent finish such as waxes, varnishes, paints, always maintaining all its nobility, versatility, economy and beauty. COAL

It is a renewable energy source and low pollutant, so its production decreases the pressure on native forests, contributes to the preservation of the environment and prevents the worsening of the greenhouse effect.

Charcoal production generates an energy source used throughout the world. It is also used as a fuel in the industrial sector, in the steel industries (for the production of pig iron and steel) and metallurgy.

Only wood that cannot be used for treatment is destined by CBI MADEIRAS for the production of charcoal, in order to optimize the use of all cut wood.
